Who invented shampoo?

Shampoo was invented by ancient Hindi tribes. The word "shampoo" originally comes from the Hindi language, and it means "to massage the head with hair oil." British entrepreneur Dean Mahomed introduced shampoo massaging to the public in his own steam vapor bath shop.
In the 1860s, shampooing became more about cleansing the head rather than massaging it. English hair dressers used shaved soap with added herbs to wash their clients' hair and give it fragrance and shine. A man named Kasey Herbert invented the first commercial shampoo, which began appearing in commercial ads at the turn of the 20th century.
