The Jeep Rubicon Unlimited was first released during the 2005 model year. It was a vehicle designed to cater to Jeep owners who want the highest performance without having to purchase after-market parts.
The 2005 Rubicon Unlimited had an EPA rating of 14 miles per gallon in the city and a rating of 18 miles per gallon on the highway. However, it was designed to perform well off-road, not on pavement.
