A job analysis is important to ensure that a company's selection process in order to choose applicants are valid and defensible. It is important to include only knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics in the selection process and only qualifications needed for the job should be considered.
Job analysis can be used to plan a workforce, strategize future needs of the company and help fill key roles that can lead the company to success. It can also assist human resources in identifying experience levels in new and current employees enabling necessary training.
