Are Kenmore 70 series dryers sold only at Sears?

Kenmore is a brand name owned by Sears, so new Kenmore appliances are only sold at stores owned by Sears. As of March 2015, these stores include Orchard Supply Hardware, The Great Indoors and Kmart.

Individual appliances labeled as Kenmore are made by a variety of manufacturers, with Whirlpool the most common. While Sears typically sells Kenmore parts and replacements, users can sometimes find comparable parts made by the original manufacturer. All Kenmore appliances have a model number; the first three digits of this number indicates the manufacturer. Appliances sold under the Kenmore name may be similar to models sold by the manufacturer contracted to make them.
