What is Kepler's Third Law?
By Forinfos - 25/03/2025 - 0 comments
Kepler's Third Law states that ?The square of the orbital period of a planet is proportional to the cube of the semi-major axis of its orbit," according to Universe Today. This law has one formula that creates the same result for all planets.
This law means that researchers will get the same number every time that they take the square of the planet's "year" and then divide that by the cube of planet's distance to the Sun. Kepler's three laws came about by studying the positions of planets. They can be applied not only to planets, but to dwarf planets, asteroids and the moons of planets.
