What kind of gas mileage does a diesel Ram 2500 get?

Dodge Ram 2500 pickup trucks are available with four different diesel engines depending on model year: the 5.9L L6, the 6.7L L6, the L6 diesel and the V8 diesel. The 2500's average miles per gallon capacity is anywhere from 15-18 MPG, but this improves to nearly 21 with post-2013 models.

Dodge Ram 2500 trucks were originally manufactured in 1994 under the Chrysler automobile group's name, but are now manufactured by the Ram Trucks brand after its separation from Dodge in 2010. The 2500 was meant to take the place of the discontinued one-ton single-rear-wheel truck that was a staple of Chrysler's pickup truck division in the 1980s.
