What is "What the Kobe?"

“What the Kobe” is the eighth Kobe Bryant basketball shoe released by Nike. The shoe features a variety of colors, including orange and crimson. The Nike Kobe 8 “What the Kobe” shoes were released to the public for purchase in December of 2013.

Due to his endorsement deal with Nike, Bryant has additional merchandise available. Other Kobe Bryant shoes and apparel can be purchased through Nike’s official website. According to Forbes, Bryant also has endorsement deals with companies like Lenovo and Hublot. As of 2014, Bryant’s merchandise is worth more than $30 million annually. Bryant also owns more than 10 percent of the sports drink company BodyArmour.
