What is Korg iM1?

Korg iM1 is an application for iPad users designed to replicate the sound of the original Korg M1 synthesizer. Like the original Korg M1, the iM1 app samples multiple instruments that are all playable through a keyboard interface.

Released in 2015, the iM1 app lets users edit and alter its sounds without the programming physical synthesizers require. The iM1 app is also compatible with GarageBand, so it can be used to record audio. Expansions are available for the iM1 app to generate more tone and instrument possibilities than are native to it. The iM1 app comes standard with 34 effects and only runs on iOS 8 or newer.
