Are lamb bones ok for dogs?

Lamb bones are not recommended for dogs, according to PetMD. In fact, the FDA recently released a report on the danger of all bones to dogs.
There are a number of reasons why dogs should not be allowed to chew on bones. Dogs can break their teeth and injure their mouth when chewing on bones, as explained by PetMD. Bones can also get stuck in the dog's throat or get looped around the lower jaw. Additionally, bones can get lodged in the esophagus, stomach or intestines of a dog. This often leads to bloody stool, emergency surgery and a lot of expense as bones cannot be fully digested after being swallowed.
