As of September, 2015, Sue Grafton's latest book was "X," the 24th Kinsey Millhone mystery. The book released on Aug. 25, 2015 by G.P. Putnam's Sons publishing company.

Born on April 24, 1940, Sue Grafton is best known for her "alphabet series" featuring Kinsey Millhone. The series takes place in the fictional town of Santa Teresa, California, where Kinsey Millhone is a self-employed private investigator. Aside from the Kinsey Millhone novels and short stories, Sue Grafton is the author of "Keziah Dane," "The Lolly-Madonna War" and an essay in the anthology "Knitting Yarns: Writers on Kitting" called "Teaching a Child."
