As of 2015, Sears, Amazon.com and Repair Clinic sell shipping bolts for LG washing machines. The part costs between $6 and $11, and a video detailing the installation of the part is viewable at Repair Clinic.

A washing machine shipping bolt, or transit bolt, prevents movement of the washer tub and subsequent damage to the tub suspension while the machine is being moved. Generally, washing machines come with four shipping bolts: two on the top rear of the machine and two on the bottom rear. It is usually easier to install the top two bolts first, as this aligns the holes for the bottom bolts.
