Trina Paulus is the author of "Hope for the Flowers," which was published in 1972. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1931. She is the eldest of four siblings and is of German descent.
Her father, Clarence, grew up on a farm in Ohio. Her mother, Alice, the daughter of a storeowner, lived a few miles from where her father lived. She grew up in a Catholic family and attended Beaumont, a Catholic girls' high school. She has traveled to Egypt and has lived in many locations within America. She gave birth to her son when she was 43 years old, the same year when she received her first royalties check for "Hope for the Flowers." She is now known mostly for her peace, justice and environmental work.
