Now part of the OpenText ECM Suite, Livelink was the first Web-based document management and collaboration system. In 1996 when it was introduced into the world market, the term “Livelink Server†was used to describe the Livelink executable file.
Between the years of 2003 and 2005, Livelink transformed from being a single product into a brand that represents the names of several OpenText software products. Around the same time, the product started selling as a bundle that included LiveLink ECM Enterprise Server. Livelink allows marketing to get messaging and sales content straight into the hands of sales reps.
