How do you find local Mormon churches?

You can find your local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by visiting LDS.org and clicking on Locations and Schedules. This brings you to a webpage where you may find nearby Mormon meetinghouses, temples, institutes, wards and branches.
"Meetinghouse" is the word used to describe the building where a Mormon congregation meets on Sundays. There is generally one meetinghouse for followers in a geographical area, but some areas may have more churches to split their congregation into groups. Congregations are referred to as either "wards" or "branches" depending on their size; wards are significantly larger congregations than branches.
