How do you locate the transit number for a bank account?
By Forinfos - 22/03/2025 - 0 comments
You can find the transit or routing number for a bank account by reading the number from the magnetic ink character recognition line located on the bottom of a check associated with the account, advises Bankrate. Additionally, many banks post their routing numbers on their official websites.
The American Bankers Association issues all banks an ABA number, also known as the routing or transit number, notes Bankrate. On a check, the first section of numbers on the bottom of the check is the bank’s routing number, while the middle section of numbers is the individual account number, and the third set of numbers is the check number.
