How long can you live once your liver fails?

The time varies from one patient to another as to how long her or she can live once their liver fails, but a person can opt for a liver transplant to save his or her life. Noticing any early symptoms of liver failure can help to manage the condition effectively.
Some early symptoms of liver failure are diarrhea, fatigue, nausea and loss of appetite, as stated by WebMD. Acute liver failure caused by acetaminophen can be treated if it is detected early enough. If the condition gets to a worse stage, treatment is only done to save what is still working. In some cases, this may be unsuccessful thus requiring a liver transfer, which is usually successful in most cases.
