The CN Tower, located in Toronto, Ontario, took 40 months to build from start to finish. Building this tower took 1,537 workers who worked 24 hours a day, five days a week. Construction for the CN Tower started in 1973, and the building was opened to the public in 1976.
The CN Tower is 605 yards tall, and for 34 years, it was the world’s tallest free-standing structure. In 1995, the American Society of Civil Engineers listed it as one of the seven wonders of the modern world. Around 1.5 million people visit this tower each year to see the stunning view of Toronto.
