How long does Diflucan stay in a person's system?

A standard dosage of a single 150 mg tablet of Diflucan, also known as Fluconazole, stays in a person's system for approximately 72 hours. Diflucan is used to treat infections that involve fungi or yeast, and can be taken orally or administered intravenously depending on the type and severity of the infection. Diflucan can be taken with or without food, and doses should be spread evenly throughout the entire day for optimal effectiveness.
Since Diflucan lasts for a long time within the body, it can easily react with other medications. Diflucan should not be taken with medications like astemizole, cisapride, pimozide and terfenadine.
