How long do Oreo limited edition flavors stay out for?

Limited edition Oreo cookies are typically in stores between six and eight weeks. There are some exceptions to this rule when the cookies become popular with customers.

There have been over 35 limited edition Oreo flavors. Some of the most popular of these flavors are berry, cookie dough, lemon, birthday cake, cotton candy and pumpkin spice. Most of these limited edition cookies have been released since 2010. Some of them have been released to promote animated movies. In 2010, Oreo released cookies with red filling to promote the movie "How to Train Your Dragon," and in 2011, cookies with blue filling were released to promote "Rio."
