The United States Postal Service offers two regular mail delivery services, First Class and Standard Post. First Class mail is typically delivered within one to three business days, depending on the location. Standard Post is typically delivered within two to eight business days.
First Class mail is used for letters and other small objects that fit into common envelope sizes. The maximum weight for First Class mail is 13 ounces. Mail can be sent internationally using First Class mail, but the delivery time varies based upon the location. Standard Post is used to deliver large boxes and other packages too big to qualify for First Class mail.
