When done, the temperature of stuffing should be between 160 and 165 degrees Fahrenheit. The stuffing is firm, and its edges are browned. Using a slow cooker for stuffing is handy when trying to save space in the oven or when the cook does not want to roast an entire turkey. It is also useful when there is leftover stuffing after a turkey's cavity is full.
