The Los Angeles county IHSS is the In-Home Supportive Services. It provides services to residents in Los Angeles County that are disabled, blind or considered low-income.
The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) is in place to help Los Angeles residents stay in their home even if they have certain disabilities. It is available to adults and children that fit certain criteria. The program helps provide health care and basic care services for resident to keep them out of nursing home and assisted living facilities. Some of the services provided include preparing meals, doing laundry, running errands and cleaning the home. Personal care services include toileting, bathing and grooming.
