Louisiana State University’s Tiger football stadium is popularly known as “Death Valley,†according to the Baton Rouge Advocate. It is an outdoor stadium located in Baton Rouge, La.
Prior to 1924, LSU played its home football games at State Field located on the old LSU campus in downtown Baton Rouge. Tiger Stadium opened in 1924 with a capacity of 12,000. As of 2014, renovations brought the stadium’s capacity to 102,321. It is the third-largest college football stadium in the South East Conference and the ninth largest stadium in the world. The stadium has a raucous game-day atmosphere that makes it difficult for an opposing team to play well.
