What is LTE coverage?
By Forinfos - 14/02/2025 - 0 comments
LTE is short for Long-Term Evolution, which is a wireless communications standard for data transfer used by many major phone service providers. Coverage refers to the geographical areas in which each service provider makes its network available.
As of 2014, LTE technology is only available in certain regions of the world. The 10 nations with the greatest degree of penetration are South Korea, Japan, Australia, the United States, Sweden, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia and the Philippines. Each has different service providers with their own further limited range of coverage. LTE technology is frequently marketed as 4G even though it does not meet 3GPP's technical requirements.
