Who made Mr. Rogers' cardigans?

Beloved children's television icon Fred Rogers, known more commonly as Mr. Rogers, was frequently seen wearing cardigans that were knitted by his own mother, Nancy Rogers. These cardigans, which tended to have zip closures, were featured in each episode of his public television show "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."
Every episode of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" opened the same way: Mr. Rogers would enter the fictional home in which the show was set and trade his dress shoes for a pair of sneakers and his outdoor jacket for a zippered cardigan. Rogers ended up donating one of these sweaters, a red zippered cardigan with cable-knit detailing, to the Smithsonian Institute's permanent collection.
