The most prominent natural features on a map of Ohio are the Wayne National Forest in the southeast and the Shawnee State forest in the south. The cities of Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland are also all notable landmarks.
The three major cities in the state all appear as large clusters of transport on a map, and they form an interesting diagonal line from the southwest to the northeast of the region. The network of rivers that run to the bays in the north are also of note, but many of these are small and are only visible when examining a portion of a map of Ohio. Ohio has few other landmarks that are notable on a map of the entire state due to the regularity of its geography.
