The main parts of a Salton induction cooker include the induction cooktop and the display panel. The display panel contains the indicator lights for temperature, power and cooking time. A complete list of all of the parts can be found in the instruction booklet on the official Salton website.

The induction cooker operates using electromagnetic energy. Only certain types of cookware, such as stainless steel pots, should be used. Household pots and pans can be tested simply by placing a magnet on the bottom of each pot. If the magnet sticks to the bottom, it can be used with the cooker.
