Compass North America, Aramark, Sodexo and Delaware North Companies are among the top five food service companies, according to FoodManagement.com. The rankings were based on the companiesï¾’ revenues for 2013.

Compass North America accounts for 47 percent of its parent companyï¾’s revenue and services companies such as LinkedIn, MIT and IBM. It offers produce from local farmers, and its menus work with MyFitnessPalï¾’s healthy living and fitness tracking program to help its customers make healthy food choices.

Aramark has approximately 3,000 clients in a wide range of industries including health care, business, correctional facilities, sports facilities, and parks and recreation. It has a health and wellness initiative which sources cage-free eggs. Some of its customers include American University, the Chicago Bears and Chicago Public Schools.

Sodexo is an international Paris-based company that offers food services all over the world in various sectors to companies such as Disney World, Harley-Davidson and the Nokia headquarters in Beijing. Some of its initiatives include a health and wellness program and a culinary series featuring celebrity chefs.

Delaware North Companiesï¾’ main food services sector is parks and recreation. Its service venues run the gamut from ballparks, arenas and concession stands to black-tie balls. The company's customers include the National Park Service, New York State Office of Parks and a number of luxury resorts in the United States, Canada and Australia.
