How do you make a bucket in Minecraft?

Make a bucket in the PC version of Minecraft with three iron ingots arranged appropriately in a crafting table, as of November 2014. Buckets transport water, milk and lava safely from one location to another.
- Gather iron ingots
Create iron ingots by smelting iron ore in a furnace. Each ingot requires wood, coal, lava or another combustible material to fuel the furnace with iron ore in the top square.
- Arrange ingots in a crafting table
Place one iron ingot in the bottom-center square of a crafting table. Place another ingot in the middle-right square, and a third ingot in the middle-left square to complete a "V" shape. This produces a bucket in the square to the right of the grid. Place the item in your inventory after its creation.
- Stack buckets
Store up to 16 empty buckets in one storage square within your inventory or in a chest. Filled buckets cannot be stacked, as of November 2014.
- Retrieve liquids
Right-click on non-flowing blocks of water and lava, while holding a bucket, to fill the container with liquid. Right-click on a cow to fill the bucket with milk. Empty the bucket by right-clicking on the empty block where you want the liquid to go while holding a full bucket. Drink milk to cure your character from poisons, or use the substance to make foods such as cake.
