How do you make a chore chart?

Although many ways exist, one method to make a chore chart is to create a table in Microsoft Excel. Parents can list pertinent details, such as the chores, the day of the week, and incentives, in an easy-to-read format.

1. Create the Excel document

   Open Excel. From the File tab, select New, then Blank Workbook.

2. Label headings and fill in the columns

   Label the first row of columns: "Chores," "Incentives," and days of the week. Fill out each column appropriately. Incentives can be money, activities or items.

3. Print and post

   Print out the table, and attach it to a surface everyone in the household sees daily, such as the refrigerator door.
