To make sterile water, you have to maintain a temperature of 250 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 20 minutes. This is achieved by the use of a pressure cooker. Follow the directions for removing the lid from the pressure cooker. You need a pressure cooker with a temperature gauge, clean water and a stove or a heat source.
- Fill the pressure cooker with water
Carefully pour the water into the pressure cooker. Cover the pressure cooker with its lid, and close it.
- Put the pressure cooker onto a heat source
Light up the heat source, and place the pressure cooker onto the heat source.
- Observe the temperature gauge
Keep a keen eye on the temperature gauge. The water must boil and remain heated at a temperature of 250 degrees F.
- Maintain this temperature for a minimum of 20 minutes
Once the temperature has reached 250 degrees F, maintain this temperature for a minimum of 20 minutes to make sterile water.
- Pour the water into a clean container
Remove the pressure cooker from the heat source. Pour the water into a clean container, and cover it with a lid. Let the water cool. Your sterile water is ready for use.
