How many congressional districts are in Florida?
By Forinfos - 16/12/2025 - 0 comments
As of August 2015, Florida has 27 congressional districts, meaning that, in addition to the state's two senators, 27 representatives from Florida serve in Congress. There are currently 435 total congressional districts in the United States, and each district has roughly 710,000 residents.
The latest increase in the number of Florida's congressional districts took place after the 2010 Census raised the number from 25 to 27 due to a rise in population. This change also means that Florida now has 29 votes in the Electoral College, determined by the total number of representatives and senators from a particular state. While New York also has 29, only California and Texas have more.
