Four 70,000-pound-thrust engines power the Airbus A380 Superjumbo Airliner, which can carry more than 500 passengers at a time in a twin-aisle, two-deck seating configuration. The four engines may include the Rolls-Royce Trent 900 or the General Electric/Pratt & Whitney Engine Alliance GP7200.
It takes about 40 minutes to fill the ten fuel tanks, which hold 131,000 liters of fuel and are capable of completing a non-stop flight of 8,000 nautical miles with the maximum number of passengers. The Airbus CEO says that the A380neo is in the discussion phase to potentially add about another 100 seats and newer, if not more, engines, as of June 2015.
