How many first aid providers do I need in a nursery school?

The number of first aid providers required in a preschool varies by the state and county in question. As a general rule, however, most licensing bodies require a minimum of one trained first aid professional on duty during normal preschool activities, including field trips.
Many counties require that every preschool teacher in a licensed facility have current training in pediatric Red Cross first aid, including specific certifications in infant and child CPR. In addition, all preschools need to have a well-stocked first aid kid that is monitored and checked regularly to make sure supplies are adequate and, in the case of medications such as ephinephrine, fresh.
