Members of the Unitarian religion worship a single god. According to Unitarianism, God is not a trinity, but one person, hence the name of this Christian theological movement.
The Unitarian movement has its origins in the 16th century, when it begun in Poland, Lithuania and Transylvania. Even though they do not recognize the Trinity, Unitarians still believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, but he has a human nature rather than a divine one. According to Unitarianism, the Trinitarianism of mainline Christianity does not adhere to authentic monotheism. Some notable Unitarians include Bela Bartok, Linus Pauling and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
