After multiplying the amount of weight in kilograms by 0.8 and 1.8, you get a range of recommended daily values of protein to consume. Canadian Living notes that a person who is sedentary should eat the amount of protein in the lower range, while women who are pregnant or highly active people should eat the recommended amount in the upper range.
