How many minutes per pound an unstuffed turkey takes to cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit depends on if it is fresh or defrosted. A fresh turkey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes per pound to cook, while a defrosted turkey takes about 20 minutes per pound to cook.

Stuffed turkeys take longer to cook than unstuffed turkeys, with 7- to 9-pound stuffed turkeys taking between 15 and 90 minutes longer to cook than unstuffed turkeys.

In all cases, a whole turkey is done when the breast temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the thigh temperature reaches 180 degrees. The cooked turkey should stand 15 minutes before serving.
