As of 2015, passengers of US Airways are allowed upwards of four checked bags as well as a personal item, such as a purse, and a carry-on item, such as a duffel bag. To be classified as normal baggage, luggage must be under 50 pounds and under 62 inches.
Passengers taking domestic flights or flights to Mexico, the Caribbean or Central America need to pay a check fee for their checked bags. Each additional bag costs an additional fee. Passengers travelling on a transatlantic or transpacific flight or a flight to South America do not pay fees for their first bag, and only transatlantic passengers must pay a fee for a second bag. After two bags, every other bag receives a check fee for all flights.
