The Turbo 400 transmission, also known as the TH400, has a transmission fluid capacity of 6 quarts. This amount equates to 12 pints of fluid total.
The TH400 is an automatic transmission developed by General Motors and originally introduced in the 1964 Buick and Cadillac cars. The transmission is a three-speed gearbox that is highly regarded due to its reliability. Although the transmission was made by GM, it was also used in a number of other auto manufacturers' vehicles, such as Jeeps, Jaguars and Rolls-Royces. Because of the durability of this transmission, it is a popular conversion for Jeeps in off-road, sport and performance builds.
