Lori Stokes has been divorced only one time in her life as of 2015. She was married to Brian Thompson in 1989 at the age of 27. The couple divorced in July of 2014 after 25 years of marriage and did not publicly disclose a reason for the divorce.

Lori Stokes and Brian Thompson met during a competitive job interview for a Columbia Broadcasting System affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina. The couple dated for approximately two years, while still employed with CBS, before they married before a large gathering of family members. Lori and Brian have two daughters together, Nicolette and Alexandra Thompson.
