The New Jersey Turnpike has 30 tolls, or interchanges, for a maximum cost of $13.85 during peak hours and $10.40 during off-peak hours, as of February 2015. Off-peak hours are Monday through Friday during the hours between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and between 6:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. Travelers with an EZ-Pass can pay the discount rate during these times.
The New Jersey Turnpike is a 122.4 mile portion of Interstate 95, beginning at I-295 near the Delaware Memorial Bridge and ending at I-80 near the George Washington Bridge. There are 13 rest stops along the Turnpike, all of which are named for famous New Jersey residents. It is considered one of the most heavily traveled roads in the United States.
