Where are the Marshall Islands?

The Marshall Islands are located in the North Pacific Ocean between Australia and Hawaii. The latitude and longitude of its capital city Majuro is 7 degrees 5 minutes N, 171 degrees 22 minutes E. The archipelago consists of 24 coral atolls and over 1,100 small islets.
The Marshall Islands are split into two primary coral atoll chains: Ratak and Ralik. These names mean, respectively, "sunrise" and "sunset." The islets barely reach over 30 feet above sea level, even on the highest peak. Because the islets are so small and scattered, there is a sparse population, most of it located in the capital city.
