What is Math 141 at TAMU?

Math 141 at Texas A&M University is a three-credit, undergraduate course called Business Mathematics. The semester-long course covers linear and quadratic equations, functions and graphs, systems of linear equations, matrix algebra and applications, linear programming, probability and applications, and statistics.
Approximately one-half of the course is devoted to probability and statistics. In order to be eligible to study this course, a student must have completed Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry at the high school level. This course is required for all College of Business majors. It is also a course that satisfies the math and philosophy requirement of the core curriculum.
