What is a Math-Whizz tutor?

A Math-Whizz tutor is an online program that simulates the behavior of an actual human tutor to help children understand math topics. Using an adaptive approach, the program assigns and constantly reevaluates the curriculum based on a student's answers to particular questions.

When a student begins the program, it assigns him a "math age" based on his answers to a set of questions. He then receives a curriculum aligned with his math age. As he progresses through the program, his curriculum adjusts based on answers given during and after each lesson. If he continues to answers questions correctly, the material advances.
