How do you measure your chest?

To measure the chest, a tape measure is needed. First, remove all clothing covering the chest or leave the thinnest layer of clothing possible. Second, position tape measure across the middle of the breast bone, continuing around, under both arms. Measurement should be taken where the two parts of the tape measure meet.

The measuring tape needs to rest around the fullest part of the chest and shoulder blades. To ensure proper measurement, the tape needs to be flat against the skin, not too loose or tight. For accuracy, the tape needs to be held horizontal around the body, otherwise the measurement to appear longer than it actually is.
