Mylan-A is a medication that may be prescribed for short-term use for conditions that include anxiety, depression and panic attacks, according to MedBroadcast. This drug is also known as Mylan-Alprazolam or simply Alprazolam. Mylan-A belongs to a type of drugs called benzodiazepines.

Benzodiazepines are a type of tranquilizer that work on the central nervous system, relates WebMD. Xanax is another drug that belongs in the benzodiazepine class.

Mylan-A is a prescribed medication that comes in different strengths from 0.25 to 2.0 milligrams. In some cases, Mylan-A can cause side effects like drowsiness, nausea, fatigue, breathing problems and muscle spasms. Abuse of this type drug may cause dependency problems in people, states WebMD.
