Pablo Picasso used a number of mediums, including sculpture, drawing, printmaking and ceramics; however, he is most notable for his paintings. Picasso used house paint for many of his paintings.
Picasso used to paint at night using artificial light, and he mainly used drawing to create the necessary structure, shape and outline while employing paint to add emotion and meaning. Picasso is also known for his contribution in the development of cubism and collage. His early sculptural work was made with wood, clay and wax, while his later pieces were constructed using unique materials, such as wires and sheet metal. Some of his paintings include Guernica and Portrait of Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler.
