When is Mercury in retrograde?

In 2015, Mercury will first be in retrograde on January 21 at 10:45 a.m. Eastern Time. It occurs again on February 11 at 9:57 a.m. E.T.

The third time Mercury is in retrograde in 2015 is on May 18 at 8:49 p.m. E.T. and again on June 11 at 5:33 p.m. E.T.

In 2014, Mercury was in retrograde on February 6, June 7th and October 4. Mercury entering retrograde occurs when planets appear to be traveling backward. Many people believe significant things happen during this time, including coincidences and other magic events. Some even believe the planets go awry during this event.
