The cause of the mesenteric adenitis varies and it can be caused by infection or some types of cancer including breast cancer. Fever and abdominal pain are the two most common symptoms, as stated by WebMD. Other symptoms include general ill feeling, fatigue and loss of appetite. The condition can only be diagnosed by a doctor. Treatment include medications to control pain and inflammation. Rest and, in severe cases, antibiotics may also be recommended.
