Why might a person always feel hungry and tired?

Feeling hungry and tired all the time could simply be due to a too-busy schedule, or it could be a sign of a more serious health condition. People who have this combination of symptoms for more than 3 weeks should see a doctor, urges Dr. Sandra Adamson Fryhofer, an internal medicine doctor.
Excessive hunger and unusual tiredness or weakness are two signs, among others, of possible hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Diabetes, especially Type 2 diabetes, also causes hunger and fatigue, and some people don't even know they have it, says Dr. Christopher D. Saudek, founder and director of the John Hopkins Comprehensive Diabetes Center.
